View Full Version : What's on your GAS list right now?

These have been on my list for awhile. Might take awhile.

1) P22. No ifs, ands or buts. I want one bad. One thing I can't decide on - color, there's a few I want. Bigger problem than that is I kinda want different birds, so I could go Artist package...but feel that might be a waste since I'm not too sure I'd change neck/fretboard and I can't change pickups. Maybe I should try a P24 with the MOP inlays. I'd almost have to find a dealer with multiple P22s with different necks(not gonna probably happen).

2) Swamp Ash Narrowfield in natural.

...might take eternity ;)

1) 3-Mike-7
2) Angelus with electronics
3) (signed) Mike Akerfeldt signature (just to spoil myself)

The "bucket list of guitars" I would be willing to trade a lot of stuff to get if I had the chance:

a Violin PRS
a Paul's 28.
A millenium dragon
a 1985 Custom with birds.

Or.....:flute:

Yup....whistling dixie 'cause it ain't gonna happen anytime soon.

1. Tremonti (US or alternatively that UK limited SE version)
2. SE 7 string
3. 408
4. P22

But realistically, it will probably only be one due to decreasing space for guitars in the apartment. It's likely going to be the US Tremonti.

Maybe a 408 in 2013, not sure yet.
The SEs I have are pretty darn nice.

I do have 2 guitars on my wish list right now a P22 AP (quilted top, Hybrid Hdw, maple neck and fretboard and Eriza Verde SmokeBurst or Green Fade) and a Studio Ash Studio. If I can get one of those in Solar Foil would be it.
The guitar they are not making but would be my holy grail: 408 with piezo, period

408 maple top w a rosewood neck, DGT standard, and maybe a DC3 or NF3...oh and a stripped 58...

I don't think daddy's been THAT good this year...

Ha! Those would have to go on my "lottery list" as there is zero chance of actually being able to pay for any one of them:rofl:
edit: that's a great list, the Violin Guitar has been very intriguing to me recently for whatever reason.

Actually, the 408 is just unique enough to rise to the top of the list.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one wanting the international version.
I'd settle for anything with a perny neck.

I regret getting rid of the Mira I had a while back and I'm kind of gassing for one of those. I'd love a black one with a regular neck and V12, with moons.

I may have to scrap anything on my GAS list and hold out...

Latest copy of Guitarist mag dropped through the letterbox today. Bit of talk about the new 7 string (Which is growing on me) and the stunning 408 but...

... Also dropped a rumour about a limited edition Bernie Marsden SE with upgraded pickups!

Just a rumour though....

Can't justify two of the same guitar (Normally) but if there's a blue one?!?!

The USA Braz version is for the collectors, but the 408MT with R/W can be had to get you in the tonal ballpark. Perny on the other hand, with its sustain and resonance characteristics, is pretty much unobtanium...

As far as the current offerings go I'd love to have a P22 and a 408 Maple Top but they will be out of reach for quite some time.

I'm not one for trems, 24 frets or opaque black backs, though can't stop gassing for this :

I was (well, kinda still is) GAS'ing for a P22 as I've waited several years for a piezo equipped solidbody PRS. I have written to PRS custom service about that many times as well. Then I thought, I want a singlecut too.... but wait a minute. A singlecut with a piezo? So now a SC HBII is the answer (probably, maybe, I hope) to all my prayers, at least right now (today, well, this very hour...).
