uhh. I remember this one. Very Nice!!

So are those some black pickup covers on top of the standard bobbins or some type of sticker?

Those are black covers. Aged covers, different pickup rings and knobs mighty be in the works. My daughter however likes the black.

Love the black covers! Aftermarket or DIY?

I need to look at the pickups. Not sure if they're bareknuckles or dragons. The 5 way rotary has to go too lol

Looks good. I'd rock it just like it is if you like the pups, add a 3-way, push-pull.

I do like the pickups, they are very warm to my ears.

Its a 2002 however don't know much more than that. I emailed cs at prs and they said dragon II pickups,wide/fat maple neck, mahogany body with a maple cap

Natural er, uh naked! Love it, they should call that color/lack of color "birthday suit". Lol!

I love the "naturals"...here's my Cu-24 w/zebras and gold in its birthday suit.

Thanks, but I'm conflicted because it's making me forsake my CEs.

I like your CE, it's got that cool "working man's" guitar look. Have you pulled the pups to see what they are?

The schematics are available from PRS to wire the 3 way toggle w/push pull tone pot if you buy the parts.

I've seen the kit (mostly) prewired somewhere but I don't remember where (possibly eBay). Nice score!

Still haven't pulled the pups out yet, should get on it.

I wanted a USA model since 1985 and decided to pull the trigger after picking up my new se cu24 (love it). I may notgo with the 3 way because I'm still on the fence about it.

Looking right now for a qualified luthier to do a.little wotk on it, maybe the 3 way and new pickups. Love the hfs sets....going to leave the black because it actually adds character.

Your cu24 looks great with the gold, love the.look of it.

Both the 5-way and the 3-way toggle w/push-pull tone pot have great pickup selections. Either way will give you nice single coil and humbucking tones. The HFS/VB combo is perfectly suited and splits well.

I like the black too, definitely a keeper!

Right the difference is only in what single-coil tones you desire. Personal choice.

I didn't even notice but that is a 22 fretter. The Dragons are made for that guitar! Excellent pups.

Yes already have a se cu24 so didn't need to go that route. Pickups are very warm, not too much bite and not too much mellow.
