OK, just one more of my own tunes...
This was the first tune that I composed and recorded myself for a guitar comp. I didn't have a decent recording setup at the time and was just testing the water but it came out ok. The backing track is a little cheesy sounding as I only had a cheap Yamaha keyboard at the time to compose the backing track with. It was the only way I could get drums and bass recorded. Thankfully, i've moved on since then! :) Oh, didn't even make it into the top 100 in the comp, but that's ok... It got me into recording!

The iron hearts are mega amps and are extremely versatile and I'm not just saying that because I have to either :-)

Thanks Boogie123 that helps a lot. I just asked because we thought months about it and it's quite hard to find a good name that doesn't sound odd for a native speaker as well.
Cool, that you've already spent some time in Germany - many Germans want to live in the great US instead, guess it's kind of "you always want what you can't have"...but that's way to philosophical for this thread :)

Mike..they have a festival in Ballyshannon, Donegal each June with some really good tribute acts and past members of Rory's band..the festival is called "Going To My Home Town" its become a big attraction in the last few years
I was lucky to see Rory at the christmas concerts in the Ulster Hall, Belfast in the early 80's...due to the troubles here no one else would come but Rory played every year...he was incredible live!!!

I had a cover band several years ago. Three engineers, one computer scientist, and nobody told me there was a video camera in the back of the room! I flub some high notes and lead the other guys astray right at the end, but I think there are some good things happening here:

Thanks! It was definitely a Good Sound Day. Perhaps the only time I've had a monitor mix where I could really hear my vocals and work the mic instead of just eating it and screaming... That was a good bunch of guys in terms of not having volume wars. We picked up a bass player later on who could not be tamed. It eventually drove me out of the band...

I haven't plugged in a guitar in front of you guys ('xcept Steve and Dane once if they noticed), but...
I had a cover band several years ago. Three engineers, one computer scientist, and nobody told me there was a video camera in the back of the room! I flub some high notes and lead the other guys astray right at the end, but I think there are some good things happening here:
http://youtu.be/niDS572Jj2sThat's damn good stuff there Dave. I'm very impressed. Nice vocals too.

Mike Garvey, thanks a million for this thread as I am a novice. The clip of you playing the BM made my day as I haveone. Some people think that it is of the same calibre as a Fender Squire till they hear it.. Student does not have a bad connotation when talking about PRS guitars.. Anyway thanks to all that posted.. Pumped me up to pick up my guitar more!

For PRS fans - my guitar is a PRS Swamp Ash Special, 25TH Anniversary model in Sapphire Smokeburst with gold hardware. I'm running it through an Orange Dual Terror with a full cryo Harma re-valve. My pedal board is modest: Keeley 4-knob compressor, EHX Nanoverb, CAE 404 Custom Wah, Boss Volume Pedal, Red Witch Medusa Chorus, TC Polytuner.
Hope you like,
Steve.
