What if there was one last card? The 55th card. The fine print card.

What would we do with it?

Give it to the cardholder who kept his promise and started the most threads, or posted the most......that's a reward card

Perhaps an artifact for the PRS Time Capsule, if there is one, or if one is ever created. 'This is how it began' sort of thing. 'This was the precursor to permanent Forum Member ID Laminates'. After all, employees have their ID cards, why not us?

Part of the history of the forum and the first wave of members. Someday we'll all be considered oldtimers, instead of just some of us (like me for example).

COOL IDEA....we had Mike last year with his sharpie but a real PRS laminate would be the balls!

Thank you. My thinking for the permanent laminates/ID cards for PRS Forum members is twofold.

For one thing, there are some of us who may never make it to PRS EXP, so this would help ease that pain a little. Whether it's because of finances, or location, other responsibilities, whatever, it just may not be possible for some to get there even once. (I've never been myself, but hopefully this is my year.)

Also, I think of PRS as being different (IMO better) in every way from other makers. So, this would be a way in which the forum would be different and better too. PRS is special, from the absolute top-of-the-heap Private Stock instruments, right down to their forum. Every element should stand out.

I love that you have a sense of humor about that, man. It's easier to see from here - mostly because I had nothing at stake, but that was a river. This is the ocean.

And the water's fine!

Or we could go the other way... we could write "The Card of Shame" on the back-side and award it to the card-holder who did the least. After 30 days he could rid himself of "the card of shame" by beating out someone else.

That's a great idea Hans! Get Paul to write it and it would be even better! I say make it happen, and if you're "The Card of Shame" holder, it becomes your avatar until you rid yourself of it.

Actually, the card needs to be sent to the PTC..it's a bit damaged on the lower bout, and needs a repair and refinish.

You can't make this stuff up....

Cards of shame (http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2009/fortune/0903/gallery.baseball.fortune/index.html)They're not your usual baseball cards. Topps Company will be issuing trading cards of confessed swindler Bernie Madoff as part of a series featuring the 'world's biggest hoaxes, hoodwinks and bamboozles,' due out early this summer. Here's a sampling.

Another post, just in case.

It ain't the posting Steve....you gotta come up with brilliant ideas for new threads. In this "card protocol" it's not so much following, as it is leading.:vroam:

I think you've had a few experiences with guitars that would qualify you to start a new thread. Now don't be shy.....

Oh wait...that's probably how you started with guitars...bought one...liked the process....bought another.....and the rest is history!!:congrats:
