So are those some black pickup covers on top of the standard bobbins or some type of sticker?

Those are black covers. Aged covers, different pickup rings and knobs mighty be in the works. My daughter however likes the black.

I need to look at the pickups. Not sure if they're bareknuckles or dragons. The 5 way rotary has to go too lol

Looks good. I'd rock it just like it is if you like the pups, add a 3-way, push-pull.

I do like the pickups, they are very warm to my ears.

Its a 2002 however don't know much more than that. I emailed cs at prs and they said dragon II pickups,wide/fat maple neck, mahogany body with a maple cap

I like your CE, it's got that cool "working man's" guitar look. Have you pulled the pups to see what they are?

The schematics are available from PRS to wire the 3 way toggle w/push pull tone pot if you buy the parts.
