57/08's, Whats your favorite amp to run 'em into?

Just wondering if there is any trends on amps used out there to get the best out of these pup's? I know "tone" is very subjective but I really am curious on what the go to amps are from the membership here :confused:

My go to with my stripper on the bridge pup is the tweed setting on my Mark V with a touch of reverb, followed closely by the neck pup rolled back a bit on the volume and tone into my old (70's)Twin Reverb, just hours of really satisfying tone to lose myself in :)

I liked the Stripper on the bridge with the Mark V tweed setting, quite a lot. The HX/DA is also killer with 57/08s.

65 Amps Empire for the 57/08s in my PS SC245.

It's a modern version of the Les Paul/Marshall combination...

F30 & nomad 55 gets the tone singing. Love my boogies... YES!!!!!!!!!!!!

My current favorite is a cranked Lonestar, but since I do not live in a vast empty landscape (or Detroit), a not-so-cranked Lonestar sounds good, too. :)

Seems like you and I might share similar tastes in guitar tones, actually.

The big thing about the HX/DA that really blew me away is the variety of great sounds one can get, from really good, spanky clean, all the way to glorious gain, just using the guitar's volume controls. Setting it up to do that isn't tricky, either. One will have preferences, of course, but with a bit of experimentation it's easy to find a lot of settings that work.

I find myself really getting into the texture of the sounds, and it has a great feel that's hard to put into words. For me, it's just perfect.

They are exceptional through my Dallas

Marshall YJM100 into a Marshall 4x12 loaded with Greenbacks.

My personal tonequest is over. That's the sound I was chasing for 35 years...and the built-in power scaling can take it from paint-peeling volume down to bedroom levels with minimal degradation.

I have found the 57/08's to sound awesome in every amp I tried them. My absolute favorite is a Sunburst 22 into my Victoria Ivy League ( tweed Harvard). I use a Fulltone Wah, Plimsoul & TC Flashback and can play anything but death metal.

I dont have 5708s but my mccartys,5909s and dragon2s sound great through my 1st gen 5150. I have owned that amp since 1994.
