Quilt certainly tears out easier than flamed maple. It's also harder to sand because it has a tendency to get lumpy, as does Swamp Ash.

Pete, that Beach Fade is dripping with magnificence!
Always jaw dropping action happening here. Thanks Shawn!
Dude I love this thread. Thanks Shawn! Really appreciated.
Someday, hopefully before I die, I will be able to watch an order of mine transform in this thread. Keep'em coming Shawn!!! Thanks for doing this!
Man, I surely hope so, that's really what I ordered that's fantastic. They were supposed to send wood sample jpgs, but if that's the guitar, no worries : ). Looks like a cocobolo fretboard too. How many PS DGT guitars could they have in line to build just like that? I guess there is a good chance that's the guitar.
Maybe Shawn could comment on whether that dark cherryburst DGT above (just underneath the 'Oh My' comment) has a bird on the neck heel, if so, that would probably have to be my guitar. Looks exactly like both the color sample jpeg I sent them and the wood grain pattern example I asked them to go after. That would be perfect. That was back in mid-November, so maybe the timing is right, if a bit early based on the delivery time they originally quoted me.
That has to be your guitar. November order? I would say they are running behind, haha! That's what I love about PS, from concept to creation, they can crank out your dream guitar in most cases in 3 months!
It is such a rush to get a glimpse of your guitar while it is in process!
Well, here are the jpgs we forwarded Tina for the color and wood grain desired:

Cocobolo fretboard, Artist style birds (like on an MEQ or SC-58), 12th fret style bird on the neck heel, cocobolo headstock verneer, flame maple matching cavity covers on back and truss rod cover, ebony tuning pegs, hybrid gold/sliver hardware, otherwise like a stock DGT.
So if that's not my guitar somebody ordered a PS just like it around the same time. Hope that's it, that guitar is stunning.
