I'm thinking see through stains and finishes in the design of the flags similar to the USA guitar shown here, with a special inlays at the 12th fret. Maybe a motto, or symbol for the state. For Texas, maybe 'The Lone Star State' or a single star, or The Alamo! For California, maybe a Golden Bear.
Out of my price range no doubt, but still very cool.

Hmmm - looks thicker than an HB but thinner than an Archtop!
I wish it was a Emil Werstler's prototype, but since it's from '99 my guess would be a SCJ proto.
When did the SC HB II come out?
