Well, duh! Anywhere there are city sanctioned double parking lanes called "Musician loading and unloading zones", you're going to have a kickass music scene. I'm lucky to have played there a few times over the years. Love it!

I played SXSW a few years ago with a guy whose record I produced, and it was Best Gig Ever.

I wouldn't argue with Austin as the top choice, but I have enjoyed visits to Nashville and Memphis as well. All three are fun music towns. I missed SXSW last year for the first time in several years. Hoping to get back this year...
I need to go to Austin! :D
