Need advice on peaceful resolution..

Have a problem, need advice..When someone goes 65 in a 15 and almost hits a kid, (not mine) should I get involved?, Take a tag number and call the cops or do I just follow them and ask nicely to be mindful of speed limits? Anyone had this problem before? Its chronic... not just every once in a while.. I dont like to involve the police, just want to work it out.. A teen with a dirt bike comes screaming down the street with his familiy in a big 4x4 rootin him on. I know how some rednecks (the bad kind) are, once you call the Po-Po then it becomes a vendetta.. Please help.

If you're in an area where it's pretty obvious that they shouldn't be flying through like that, I would go ahead and alert the police. Maybe just ask that they keep you anonymous.

One day 'almost' will become 'did'.

I agreed on the advice to let the authorities handle. It's a crazy world, you never know what you'll find. Phone call and that's that.

If its a regular problem in a certain area, sometimes the police will start sitting there. Depending on staff. Tell them to watch at a certain time and that there's kids in the area. At minimum, maybe they get their monthly quota.

My next door neighbor is a Deputy and there was a deputy squad car in his drive. He works nights so I didnt wake him.. But this was no deterrent to Mr. "Git ur done".. I made a report and gave him the tag number of the 4x4 (the chase vehicles full of his pit crew).
