Matt here checking in from western MD about an hour and a half from the factory. Lived here all my life but living in Texas doesn't sound all that bad either but then I would have to find a balance between my guitar love and love for guns.

Linving in Nafplio Greece, which was the first capital of modern Greece from the revolution of 1821 until about 1834.
Beautiful city 140km south of Athens. Very nice both in the summer with lots of nice beaches but also in the winter, as it is very beautiful and relaxing biking around the city, eating out in a lot of nice places etc...
The city has a couple of old castles, one of which is in the center of the port.
The following photos were taken by me from a boat in the port.

In this photo you can see the castle in the middle of the port called Burtzi (from the arabic word Burj which means castle) and the old city on your left.
In the following picture, having Burtzi on my back, you can see the old city and the first castle on top, Acronafplia, which is now a hotel and restaurant.
http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...o/DSC_0273.jpg
Leaving the port of Nafplio you can see (on the small hill) the side of Acronafplia and on the bigger hill behind the Cruise ship the biggest castle which is called Palamidi.

Not that these are the best photos, but here is another nice one found on the web.

springfield,mass...Basketball was invented here at Spfld.college...The first horseless carriage was built here...We are the home of Smith&Wesson firearms...The M1 carbine and rifle were designed and manufactured here..Indian motor cycles were designed and manufactured here..Dr seuze lived here as a child on Mullberry st. I'm not sure if he wrote some of his stories here...This short accounting of the history of springfield, mass. is the reason why we are known as the CITY OF FIRSTS. We are also known as the CITY OF HOMES,as there are many pre world war one victorian homes, wich you can tour around the x-mass holidays. the owners open them to the public for a time, during the holidays!!! The city was incorperated in 1636,so that accounts for the rich history it has amassed!!!!!!!
I'm from a town in the UK, the centre of England to be precise, known as the Midlands. It's the town where both Robert Plant and Phil Lynott where born, our town has a long history going back so far it is in the Domesday book, it was then called simply Bromwic! My home town is West Bromwich. If you listen to Led Zep (the sessions at the BBC) you'll here Planty say "I've got the West Bromwich blues" when he's ad-libbing at the end of Whole Lotta Love. I'll try to add a couple of pics of my local area when it's light.
A lot of great entries here gang, keep 'em coming!
