Pole Piece Height

Was playing the SE Semi-Hollow last night, and noticed the pole piece/screws looked like they have been raised in the middle.

It's got 2nd hand 53/10s in it so I'm wondering if someone has played with them. Pretty sure the 57/08s on my ST58 were all set flat and flush.

Is there a factory setting for these? Or should I just adjust them to suit my ears?

I play with pickup heights a lot but not individual pole pieces. Thanks :)

Go with your ears :)

I tend to set them equal heights across all strings (when fretted at the last fret) and adjust from there.
