I always wondered how often you restring your harem.......
D'ADDARIOS...are not a safe alternative to cigarettes.
Save some for Thursday night!
Looks like you had a little string changing party.
Ok....So how many do you do at a time? I've always wondered how you kept on top of it....do you have a schedule or a calendar to keep track of them all? Do you use the same gauge for everything? Mine are confusing enough...I don't think I could ever keep up the maintenance on a collection the size of yours! I get the chills just thinking about having to adjust all those trussrods and saddle heights!
There are many that only get changed once a year Bob. I do those in February. I also check for minor (MINOR) Set-up needs, Polish, oil all Boards & Necks. Most will get a string change this month. I have done about 50 - 60 in the last couple of weeks.
Otherwise, I only chage strings 15-20 times during the year.
Kudos to QCG........... Sleeby changed A set last weekend :proud:
Wow...couldn't even imagine...every time I start to do a mass setup I get the wife or the kids running up the back staircase wondering what I'm doing...(since I'm up in the guitar room but not making any noise my wife has on occasion thought something must have happened to me)....I end up having to do it piecemeal....and what kind of sucks for me is I have guitars set up differently with different gauge strings, etc....half the time I'll forget what a guitar was strung up with...I better start a better record keeping system...that way when I get to a level that resembles yours I won't be a complete and utter mess!
I'm sure many of you have been in the same boat....just another quarter turn on the trussrod....and then. Uh oh...you're interrupted to change a diaper!
In Les's case their his own....but you get the idea! Jk les!
That's a lot of players points...
Markie may I ask how many guitars you have?
So which guitar did the skoal go on?
And can we have before and after sound clips?
It takes me an HOUR to change a set  - I'm always cleaning and going uber slow so I don't scratch something... ;)
The evidence I see in that trash can would be a WEEK of work for me!
