Just picked up a '99 Custom 22 Soapbar, awesome guitar and it's getting a lot more play time than the 513 or the Stripped 58.
Question is - what kind of finish does the body have? Nitro? or?

The body was poly finished. If the neck was maple, it was nitro finished...

Yup maple neck/board so nitro on that one.
Can PRS poly "sink" like nitro then?
