I think you are seeing the place where Scott marked the fretboard to show him where the guide pins are located. Each neck/board has three guide pins to assure the board is properly positions on the neck and that the fret slots aren't accidently cut through the inlays.

Are they just marked or are they drilled out. The dots on the surface of the old board look like there is a hole where each of the guide pins used to be.

I've marked the holes where the guide pins go in red and the grease pencil marks showing where the guide pins are located under the board are noted in blue.

Note, the middle guide pin is still in the neck, the other two are open holes prior to guide pin installation

Here's a repair we did a while back. The headstock was broken and a bad repair was attempted by someone other than PRS. Many of the wood pieces were missing so we did some reconstructive surgery.

That headstock repair is incredible. Amazing work! Bummer about having to lose the small logo though... what year is the guitar?
