That is beautiful, probably one of my favorite PRS instruments they make. Love the singlecut design.

Yup. I'd like to know how good and how noisy the stock pickups are.
Yeah I agree with Zeke, I don't think it exists right now. The Clint Lowery model when it comes out is sort of close, but 24 frets, and a 25/5" scale. Maybe that will work.
What about the used...
Yeah I think the 245 Soapbar will be my next guitar, if I can sell my SG. I just love the way my SE 245 plays and feels. Having the same thing with different pickups would be awesome. I love the...
That's a really nice top btw. Reminds me more of something I'd see from Gibson (in a good way).
Mine feels like plastic. Not real fond of it, will be upgraded to a custom cut bone nut hopefully soon. Goes out of tune with just about every bend I make sadly. Tried nut sauce too.
Sweet, first one I've seen. How is the 7 strings? Never played one, but it does have me curious. Looks really nice btw.
How noisy are the PRS soapbar pickups? And what vol/tone pots are they mated with? I have a Squier Mascis Jazzmaster that has stock (Duncan Designed p-90s I believe), but I changed the pots to CTS...
I love Gibson's Pelham Blue on a LP or SG, I love Fender's Sonic Blue on a strat and maybe a tele. But This PRS blue is just too intense, for me anyway. I don't like the lack of binding either, it...
I was wondering this myself. I can't decide right now, between the 245 Soapbar (I have a 245 humbucker already), a SE Custom 24, or maybe something different and get the Clint Lowery model.
WOw, that really is blue. Too blue. And you're right, you can't really see any grain in the top at all, not sure there's a point in having a maple top in this case. Honestly, it looks almost...
I think it's safe to say, there would be much tingling in both private and public regions.
Possible. It would be a lot cheaper though if it just came gold as an option in the first place :D Seriously, they would sell a lot.
Tell me more. Now.
I would love another SE 245, this time with a Goldtop finish, with cream binding on the sides, natural wood color on sides/back/headstock. Especially on a SE 245 Soapbar model too, with an adjustable...
And Royal Blue from this PRS product site:http://www.prsguitars.com/secustom24/img/royalblue.jpg
Also, the RB is blue everywhere, back and neck and headstock. The Whale Blue is blue only on the...
According to the Sweetwater site, and it looks the same on the PRS site, this is Royal Blue:

And this is Whale...
I think the opposite has happened, if you look at the photo above, that's the new Royal Blue, even more blue than the Whale blue they were using in 2012. I agree with Zeke, it's hard to see the flame...
That has definitely not happened on my SE 245 either, no brown stains of any sort. Seems odd to me. Never heard of this before. Maybe someone applied some sort of finish first?
These 245's in black/gray are pretty sexy:

^^Yep, it's a Tremonti model. I used to own it, not anymore. It was ok, but I much prefer my 245. Thicker, meatier tone, and feels more robust overall. But this model was pretty unique it seems.

Trivia question: Anyone know what model this is?

I really like that color, congrats. Curious about the 2013 release of the Emerald Green color too. Nothing quite like it in the SE line, it seems.
So Sweetwater has some of the new SE Custom 24 in stock now, in the Royal Blue color. What do you think? Almost seems too blue to me, and I don't see any binding on it. What I'm waiting for is the...
That's really nice Zeke. I thought about getting the white one too. How's the pickup swap, worth it? I want the bone nut on mine too.
