Hah, me too. How about a PRS maniac!
10 Years After, I'm Going Home, Woodstock, Classic!!! I learned a lot of licks from that dude. RIP Alvin.
Maybe it's a replacement spring and it's just too long, so it was put in at an angle. (?)
I always equate the switch to mahogany bodies with the move to Stevensville, so if that was 95 then that's the same time it occured.
CE's are great guitars for the money. The early ones 88-95 are made from alder and starting in 89 may have a maple top. In 96 PRS started using mahogany for the body and capping it with maple. The...
Bought an.....er, uh R8 Les Paul from these guys, very good transaction. Highly recommend.
Lol, right up there with "Oh Sherry" by Steve Perry.
Probably not exactly my favorite solo of all time (because how can anybody have one favorite) but I always perk up when I hear Jay Graydon's solo on Peg by Steely Dan.
Can anybody out there help me find an early CE-24 pickup selector switch? You know the kind that's all metal. I'm looking for one to restore my `89 back to its original condition. OR....if they can...
The most influential drummer for me would probably be John Bonham, because from the first moment I heard Good Times/Bad Times, I wanted to play guitar with that dude on the drums. I also liked the...
My big brother came home with a copy of Led Zeppelin I and as soon as I heard Good Times, Bad Times I wanted to play guitar with John Bonham on the drums.

Sorry for the pic quality but here's my `86 pearl pre-standard guitar with its Orange companion.

Kick Stand Man, always entertaining watching Phil.
If the serial is about 300 or less it should date to `88, for example 8 7001- 8 7300. Serial numbers 300 - approximately 1900 are from `89. I would guess your guitar was started in `88 and finished...
I replaced one once, it was a PITA! I found a screw that I could thread into the bushing, then pried out the bushing using the screw head. I used a C-clamp to insert the new one. Given a choice I...
I have one on my Custom 24, it was easy to install. I use it in conjunction with a Hipshot tuner extender for drop tunings. It works beautifully stabilizing pitch, so when I drop tune the other...
SRV opening for Huey Lewis and the News, Van Halen opening for Journey, Elf opening for Uriah Heep and Flo and Eddie opening for Alice Cooper.
Schweet!!! AS good as it gets!
Full floating tremolo for me. I like the feel of the "give" in the strings when I play. I even tend to overbend on fixed bridge guitars.
+3 with Markie and Ron. Those early Standards kick it, the #9 position is HONK CITY!
I've got a `90. I've seen some as late as `94 on special runs. There may be others as well.

I saw it last Friday, I like how the movie explains how many characters came to be who they are.
