Just wondering why PRS does not use a tall bridge pickup ring on their guitars? Ala 50s LPs.
For example, I think it would look really cool on my DGT Goldtop.

It would look very strange on a PRS with a trem.

Ok.....well what about a McCarty?
Strange as well!

It's not the size of the ring, it's what you do with it.
I disagree, I think it would look good on either. The tall bridge ring is classic.

I have a Les Paul R series that has the tall rings....PRS guitars have many G-like features and I just believe a tall ring would look good. I am going to try it.
my mcrosie has a bridge height of 15mm,
the les paul has 18mm.
that's why you have higher frames on the les pauls.

The only guitar it might look normal on is the SC/Stripped 58 and JA-15. Why bother? is my thinking.
My action is so low on my PRSi that I don't think I could use a tall bridge ring LOL
