    Brent Mason Collection

In case you haven't seen this one yet, check it out. PRS has teamed with Brent Mason to create his very own signature Collection guitar. If you aren't familiar with Brent, look him up on youtube, he is an absolute monster. He is one of the most sought after seesion players in Nashville and has played on a multitude of #1 hits.

Note the two Bass 408 pickups on the Brent Mason signature model. Brent loved the sound of this pickup so much, he requested to have one placed in the neck AND the bridge position.

I am really curious to hear the Siggy bass pup in the bridge! Great idea...so does this make Mr. Mason an official PRS endorser? He's an amazing player, and it would be awesome if he was in the PRS family now!

I would think your name on a $9k guitar pretty much makes you an endorser! Helluva player. Seen him many times here in Nashville.

Awesome looking guitar.I love that "Vox virage" type pickup system.
I de-modded my CU22 soapbar and made a factory spec setup.Im in love again.I very much believe now PRS guitars are perfect as they are.

Brent just blows me away with his style. He's tasteful and melodic, everything I look for in a player.

We're hoping to meet up with Brent later this month and if he has time, we'll try to shoot some video clips with him.

I have to relay this story as told by Marc Quigley, Art Director for PRS. So Marc and our Artist Relations team are down in Nashville hosting a little get together for some of the Nashville heavyweights. The guys are coming in and jamming on various PRS amps and guitars and some of them start a little impromptu jam session. A bit later Brent Mason walks in and goes around and says hello to his fellow guitar players. As he shakes the hand of one of the attendees the guy leans in and says to Brent “You know none of us are going to play until you leave, right?” If a guy can garner that kind of respect from a group of world–class talent, he must have something special.

I think the twin bass pickups might suit my tastes quite well.
I'm a bit bummed that I wasn't smart enough to give that a try before.

    Shawn,

Can you provide any technical details on the push/pull tone control on the Brent Mason collection? I can't seem to find any reference information anywhere online.
