I think "Max" is an actor. I've only ever known one guitar collector that is this much of an overplayed caricature of the "Type A" guitar guy.

Just look at the binding job in the second freeze frame youtube photo... I ain't saying nothin' but it was well known that Les liked seconds.
So what's the verdict? And, even if it had been owned by Les....where is the value? Seems like a nice Gibson LP custom that may have been owned by Les...but, without direct provenance and paperwork supporting his ownership...it would appear to have the value of a production model.
And....that whole issue of the refret....makes me think that the entire guitar was refinished...it's too clean and "minty" for it to have been used to the extent that a re-fret would have been required.
Some people prefer a different size fret than what comes standard on a model and will yank perfectly good frets on a brand new guitar just to get their preferred size on. I don't understand this, but then, to each his own.
