Not really a PS shot, but I thought Id show this anyway. Many people ask about the thickness of our tops. Most of the maple tops start out as 5 quarter and then are carved into shape. The center of the guitar stays roughly 5 quarter thickness, while they edges swoop down into the famous "Violin" carve. This illustrates the eventual binding height as well as the overall thickness of the top.

Yup, that is my Earth Cu24 in for some finish work after some wear and tear from the Ottawa-Cleveland-Dallas September-October tour.

    Top is Redwood.

Cool to see it is in progress!

Agreed though I'd be really curious to play one for a while and see how the tonal properties compare to other woods since it essentially has to be soaked and harded in superglue to keep it from breaking (its crazy brittle).

Only if too "punky." If caught early enough before it starts to rot, it doesn't need that procedure. Even then it may only have to be treated in spots. I've owned quite a few and only one was treated this way.
