I really like the Firebirds but they're the kind of inlays that would only match with a few particular finishes, although they contrast excellently with the dark wood of the fretboards.
Love the look of the PRS amps!!! Hate amps that look like a black box... They should be loud and proud!

This thread is like crack.
Man, you people are relentless!
Ok, here's a guit for you Tim. It is a Collection prototype, but now it's used as a pickup tester! (no lie)I feel sorry for Len Johnson, he has to play guitars like this all day long!
I went back upstairs to photo the black paisley in a little more detail and stumbled across this
And finally Black Paisley

Now I just need a half dozen Black Paisley Cases, Black Paisley Straps and all my amps & cabs recovered!!!
Thanks Shawn. This thread just keeps getting better and better.

I dig this pic. As discussed on Brad737's recent thread (the VR/BAM version) I think binding combined with the thinner purfling looks classy! I spec'ed my last two guitars that way, Natural Maple Binding, one with Paua Purfling (that one also has purfling on the Body) and the other with MOP purling (no purfling on the body on that one).
Of course being Ted Club President, I am highly biased towards having binding on my PRS Guitars, and now I am highly addicted to the Natural Maple variety, have two like that now, two inbound within couple of weeks, and two more just put in the oven!
Can't wait to see how the new ones with the purfling added turn out!

I like that pic, too. I don't ordinarily go for that much bling, but with the natural color, that guitar reminds me of a classic acoustic, and it really looks "right."
It's funny, when I got the SC58 last year with the cream binding, I was neutral about it. But it's grown on me, and I've come to like it a lot. I was glad the Sig came with it. Maple's nice, too. Have had it on an acoustic.
Bonus with the CAD paisley amps - your wife will probably actually like it!
My wife called amps 'black boxes'. But she likes my paisley/red tiger amp.
