A PS neck optioin (I believe dreamed up by Brent from TGS) where they route out a crevas in a finger board down the middle and insert another fretboard wood.

This isn't three pieces of wood glued together. The main piece of wood is normal fretboard size and a channel is carved into the middle with the center strip inlaid into the main board. I found the technique to be very creative with a lot of attention to detail. It would be easier just to glue three pieces of wood together.

Yeah thats what I was hoping route meant when I said it but I knew there was a better way to explain it! Its basically a giant wood inlay and its amazing haha

Beautiful shots Shawn, this is one of my favorite threads!!!

P.S. Hope it's not heresy for users to post PS stuff in here as well, but I put my deposit down on my very first PS myself today and it IS a Friday, so it's PS Friday for me too!

So excited (and lucky), turns out you guys already built my dream PRS and I didn't even have to wait for the order!

Throw a Brazilian neck on it, a strap, and instead of a Keytar you'll have a Xylotar (sounds like Conan's arch nemesis).

Shawn, you've really outdone yourself this week. So many great shots. I miss the factory more and more each week.

Man... that bass. ONE pickup. "In the right place" pickup. "Comfy for my thumb" pickup!

    It gives me visions.

Yank the frets. Make it 35" scale with a solid body. Graphite reinforced rock maple neck (no truss rod). Add a low B string. And I'm home!

Here are some more shots of DUO-BOARD #1 .. http://www.theguitarshop.ca/features.php?id=2159

I liked this very much sonically and also aesthetically, so we have 2 or 3 more being worked on now.
