Well I suppose I could have been a bit more concise. I don't have any children that I know about, I've traveled a lot. You found your way to PRS so you must have turned out okay

Thanks Shawn for taking the time, at the end of your day, to feed your hungry brethren!

Love PSFs. Tons of gorgeous guitars to drool over.
I do have a silly (maybe) question.
Are all these guitars spoken for, as in commissioned for/by someone, or do some make their way into the retail channel?
    Thanks.

My observation is that most Private Stock-worthy PRS retailers order a certain number of prospective PS guitars in variable numbers. Some shops will advertise on their website, for example, certain "builds-in-progress" that are up for grabs. Most of these guitars are in fact made to order for a customer, but some aren't. Your local PRS dealer can help you sort through it.

Question for Shawn: did you ever get to hear how that Macassar top sounded, or has it been finished yet? Also, I realize that this is the PSF, but by any chance would Macassar be available as a top for an Artist Grade (realizing that this is probably a dumb question)? I absolutely love that wood.

    Inquiring minds want to know!

I do have a guitar (non PRS) that has an ebony top and back, in an ebony/padauk/curly maple/padauk/ebony "sandwich", mated to a BRW neck and board. To me it really IS that "grand piano" sound. Looks like one too.

While I don't seek out specific guitars for the PSF thread, I did run across this today.

That is one extra-special guitar! It's over twice as thick as normal, with two output jacks vertical in the side body, rather than side-by-side! And it looks like it's gonna have a fantastic flame!

    Oh wait...

Um, it's gonna have a fantastic flame!

If that is 5121, I'm a happy camper!
