This isn't three pieces of wood glued together. The main piece of wood is normal fretboard size and a channel is carved into the middle with the center strip inlaid into the main board. I found the technique to be very creative with a lot of attention to detail. Thats a complete ziricote body with maple binding.

Yank the frets. Make it 35" scale with a solid body. Graphite reinforced rock maple neck (no truss rod). Add a low B string. And I'm home!
