Do You Have Go To Plain Jane's?

I like many of you have some very beautiful tops on my guitars yet I also have what I refer to as my go to plain janes....tone machines that are just that and get the call because they sound unbelievable.

Now I know Todd has his ...Kevin and Mike Duncan as well...although I would love to know which ones are actually their favorites

Here are three of mine that are currently in rotation with my band.

Now I know there have been opaque appreciation threads....but this is more about whether or not when push comes to shove...do you own plain janes that just win out in the tone department?

All beautiful guitars mate but that first one is fantastic! I do have a few plain Janes but alas they aren't PRSi, an old Gordon Smith SG. a G&L Legacy and a Wayne Guitars Super Tele.

Eric Martin hand picked that guitar for me when he was charged with selling some of Chris's collection. I've raved about,it in the past...has this amazing warm and sweet high end to it...and the sustain is wonderful...it's a joy to play and I'm honored I can.

I love it and yes I do. It is perfect for what I do. If I was ever in a circumstance where I can just plug my guitar into an amp and go, i would have something different, but for what I do this combination suits me perfectly.

I googled 'snot' and just can't bring myself to post the pics. Suffice to say, that if you do the same you'll be adequately grossed out. The nice part is that since the snot has been played out of the guitar already, I don't have to deal with it anymore.
