    Favorite Van Halen song?

Craig's post got me thinking: http://prsguitars.com/forum/showthre...tiques-PLEASE-!!!!

What's your favorite Van Halen song? Mine is Panama. I know it's not a popular choice for guitar players, but I think the little slow section is just so amazing and melodic. What's your favorite?

This will seem really crazy to some, but I have two VH favorites: "I'll Wait", and "Big Bad Bill is Sweet William Now". They're both so out of character; that's why I dig 'em. Plus, on "Big Bad Bill..." the brothers' dad plays with them, and you can hear that they're all having a great time together.

    As you requested, Sir...

First is "I'll Wait". To me, this is Alex and his drum tone at its finest. AMAZING tone. Eddie talk(ed) about his 'Brown sound'; Alex has it in spades IMO. Warm, lush, never painful.

Then, "Big Bad Bill Is Sweet William Now". The brothers' dad Jan on clarinet (if I remember the liner notes correctly).

I always liked Source of Infection. One of the few bright spots guitar wise at least in the Van Hagar era.

I don't think I can pick my favorite Van Halen song..just too many good ones to choose. I will say to anybody who has not bought the new Van Halen, A Different Kinda Truth, buy it..its amazing. The first single off the album, "Tattoo", is the worst song on the cd..shouldn't even be on there! Eddie shreds like never before.
All I want is everything. Am I asking too much?

Not at all, I thought that was a great album. Gary had the voice of Sammy and the onstage moves of Dave. My first VH show was a VH3 show, first row right in front of Ed. Awe.some. Opened with "Unchained."
