    New Birds on ME1...

    Hello all,
I just saw this on eBay. I suppose this guitar had barely been started back in 2007. It's a NOS Modern Eagle, but it doesn't have Old Birds. What are these, Shadow Birds? How many others came out like that? This is the first I've seen like that. Great top though.

I dunno. I've been a staunch defender that the NOS Eagles were "real" Modern Eagles and not reissues. With the exception of the USA label on the back of the headstock, my green NOS Eagle is exactly the same as my original FBJ. But without old Birds and hybrid hardware, that's not NOS to me anymore. They should call em ME2013s.

I couldn't agree more. Whilst it is a fantastic guitar in it's own right I would not call it a new old stock Eagle. If I had the cash I would have snagged it myself though!!!!
