How did the guitar go from Green to who, to who, to who, to you, Hans?
Glenn Brady won the eBay auction mentioned above. He contacted PRS when he got the serial number and they explained many of these details to him. They also (graciously) told him that he could keep the guitar. He sold it to another BaM member (Cyclops). Cyclops sold it to me after I begged him relentlessly.

Many of the details in the original post were compiled by the two previous owners.

BTW, Glenn is the one who made the custom truss rod cover. I believe that David (Cyclops) put the gold knobs on it. I put the non-engraved 57/08's and adjustable bridge on it.

Thanks, Hans. It was indeed gracious of PRS to not demand the return of the guitar. Another classy company move....

I wonder if Jim Cullen was just saying that about the database to get proof that this was one of the stolen guitars? Has PRS tried to get the guitars back?

So when you're talking informally about the Mother of Brazilians, do you call it The Mother of Brazilians, The Mother, Mom, Mommy, Moeder, Mutter, Mama, MOB, Patrino, šiti, emo, والدة, мать, or what...?

I named my guitars a few months back, but actually I never use their names. So I'm going to have to rename them. Or un-name them. In fact, out of the two of them, I forgot one of their names already. It's a good thing I don't have a collection.

At least I remember the names of my kids. So there's that.

Obviously, I need some professional guidance, here.

No, it's true. Our early database consists mostly of notes scribbled on bar napkins, which were later imported into an excel spreadsheet. There are many, many gaps in the information.

You could market them as "guitar ponchos".

Very nice guitar and a well told story.
This might mean I owe you a story about a Brazilian.

Awesome of Paul to honour someone else's sale and what a guitar, that's a great end to a not so great story.

I'm the one that sold this to Hans... I bought it from a dealer here in South Florida. The dealer had bought it from Glenn at the Orlando Guitar show. I fell in love with it, put in on hold for almost a year (gotta love the mom-and-pops!). I brought it home, posted my NGD on BAM, and Glenn sent me the back story. What killed me was almost the same day that I brought it home, the trial started. I actually emailed PRS and asked them if they needed it for evidence. I think they almost took me up on the offer. Fortunately, the next day, the court found the guy guilty, and he agreed to pay for all the guitars. Got a really nice note from PRS basically stating that the guitar was at that point 'legit'.

I played that guitar out several times, and practiced with it daily. There is not a better neck from PRS that I've seen, including my own Cu24 Brazzy PS. If I had been able to put the 57/08's in it, Hans would probably not have that guitar Fortunately, karma came around and delivered my current #1 to me, my MEQ.

I had the guitar when the case went to trial. I offered to PRS, but they didn't need it for evidence. I think they almost sent Shawn on a plane to get it, though
