Monster Top

Hello,

I am going to buy my first PRS. I have found a Custom 24 Monster Top. Anyone could tell me what does monster top means? It's a 10 top?

I think it's just an adjective used by the seller, like great or awesome. As far as I know there's only standards tops (no designation), 10 tops (10 stamped on the back of the headstock), Artist tops (no stamp but generally only available on Artist Pack guitars) plus other special tops like killer quilt, wood library etc.

I thought the Killer Quilts were a limited edition series released by PRS?

hmmm, never heard from.....
to me it sounds like "ltd edition with killer quilt"
but you never know how goods are announced in marketing.
i've never heard from "ltd edition killer flame" - but if they got
my cu24 would do justice for sure.

The killer quilt run were McCarty terms with korina backs, and 57/08 pickups. The outline birds were the only thing that kept it from being a truly killer run. :-)

Thank you. I think that "monster" it's just an adjective used by the seller, too. However, I will go to see that guitar. It seems to be very nice.
