    Artist Guitars- PTC

I thought the Artist guitars deserved their own thread so here it goes.

Carlos Santana plays many different PRS guitars, but this one is his #1. Once or twice a year, he'll send guitars to us for set up, tweaking and general maintenance.

First the truss rod is adjusted so that the fretboard is completely level

Then the frets are marked up

The frets are then leveled out so that there are no high or low frets

We crown and polish the frets

And now it's back in playing shape

That's a way cool guitar. Nice dark Brazilian neck too, if I recall correctly.

This one came to us from Steve Austin from "Today Is The Day". This one is a true road warrior!

The headstock has a few minor scratches on it

    The hardware is slightly tarnished

    Some very light pick scratches

    A little bit of wear

Plenty of life left in those frets (now that they've been leveled and polished)

Wow, that black one is crazy! What's up with the trem routing on that one? Looks like it has a massively oversized rout.

What a cool surprise to see one of Steve Austin's guitars. Having seen him live many times I know why that guitar looks the way it does. I am off to listen to some Today Is The Day now! Thanks for sharing Shawn.
