The McCarty help thread reminded me of a small issue I have with the year ID list provided by PRS.

CE Models

7 0001 – 0270 1988
I know it does say approximate, but in my case this early CE serial number is off by 217 guitars! I have a 1st year CE with the serial number starting with an 8 for the year, then the 7 to designate the CE, and then 0487. I know they didn't keep a lot of records early on, and a lot of this table was done by memory, but is my guitar enough to change this listing? It is pretty clear it is an 88, but I just wonder if PRS is interested in getting more accurate records by using the serial numbers of members guitars.
