    Love love love skateboarding. Started at 9, stopped at 22. Street, pool, miniramp, all game. My first 'real' board was a Santa Cruz Christian Hosoi, loved it and rode it until it came apart.

    The only protectors i ever put on the board were the siderails to protect the board from cracking on rails. Later even those were removed. Far too heavy

    Haven't touched a skateboard in 14 years. But this thread gives me an itch yo try it again.

    Btw have any of you switched to snowboarding? I did and it's awesome!
