That mod pre-dates Daniel too. His middle name is "."

    Not with a grinder...

    Not with a file...

    But on the sidewalk!

So what's the connection between this beauty and Mr. Beck?

It's actually a lot more extreme than your mod Hans...I wouldn't care either way as long as it took the bite out!

I have a 25th Anniversary that hits all the bullet points: tone, feel, sustain. Just a special instrument.

I love my 305, if I could only keep 3 guitars for the rest of my life it would be the 305, my Hollowbody II SC, and my 1956 goldtop Les Paul.

I own two and bit (ones a 407). One factory and two PS. One of PRS' most underrated models.

Mine is a 25th Anniversary... with the shadow birds which I really dig! 25ths are not hum cancelling in positions 2 & 4, just like old strats. Tone is beefier than a strat, maybe set neck helps too. It's definitely a keeper.

I've had a couple of them. The first had then513 neck and I never did get used to it so I let it go. The second was antique white with maple board and neck with dirt birds...that one was terrific and I miss it. Gas is a cruel mistress!

Ok, there's your answer. 13 people own 305s.

Ok...I need to sign a pledge that that I will never change the pup height on my 305 again. I sat there tweaking them for hours....they rest some place between low and medium...I was adjusting each screw with 1/8 turns and there was a noticeable difference...when I was done I was ecstatic....I'm sure tonight when I plug in I'll hate it!

In all seriousness though I think I have it exactly right...I wish I knew what it had sounded like with factory spec height or how the PTC sets them up...but I can't imagine it getting much better than this.

i realize they are proprietary but anybody know what the 513 and 305 pickups were modeled upon? I dont remember there being much press on the pickups...the guitars yes...but all I remember is the word "proprietary" when discussing the pickup system.
