As soon as I saw the word 'Carpathian' that's what popped into my head!
Sorry Gtrmav, I won't hijack any more of the thread with Ghostbusters related stuff!
Don't know much about the wood but a quick Google search suggests it's highly thought of. Some interesting stuff on the Unofficial Martin Forum in relation to that and other types of Spruce such as Sitka.

I have several spruces but have never tried Carpathian.
