NGD: PS #4249, DC 245 Siggy!!

NGD tonight, my October 2012 spec'ed DC 245 Sig!

Here is a pic from Eric at Willcutt and Alan/yankeebulldog, at the factory a few weeks ago:

...I will post some more pics tomorrow.

    Initial thoughts:

-WOW!!! Tone is great. Has incredible sustain. Like off the hook. So far, great for the more Modern tones. Similar to but more so than my Sig Ltd's in that regard. Very complementary to the more "Vintage" tones from the Jade Glow DC 245 Ted.
-6 pounds 2 ounces, gotta love that Obeche! My back will thank me, this will likely be my 2013 rehearsing and gigging guitar. Have a gig later this month in FL, this will likely be the guitar I take.
-Feels great to have a 408/Sig guitar in my favorite scale, the 245 scale.
-Woods came out great, the one-piece quilt is to die for, the board has great grain.
-The Aquamarine finish is loud and bright visually, will have quite the stage presence!

    More tomorrow...

Gorgeous guitar, and cool tone report. Looking forward to hearing more about it, Pete!

Killer One Piece Quilt Top!! Go for a swim in this blue water...

Did J-Birds on this one versus Old Birds with Outlines, to stay true to Sig Ltd formula, MOP Outlines with "Blue Paua" insides:

Nice grain on this board! I think the board took the most time of all the wood selection:

I did the traditional PRS Headstock shape on this one versus my usual Santana/Ted Headstock, again to go more modern PRS and have it be like a Sig Ltd in the Ted scale, versus a Ted with 408's:

I love the clean look with matching backplates!

Obeche looks nice stained Antique Natural:

    Nice grain in the neck!

Thats unreal Pete - you're collection continues to shock us!

Theres also nothing I love more than seeing "Custom Build for XXXXX" on the back of a PS headstock. It shows pride in your instrument. It shows that you have no intentions of ever moving it. Its yours. You "OWN" it.

I dig how it turned out! I may change to Black tuner knobs, I think that would fit the vibe of this guitar better...

Turned out great. The matching headstock is working for me on this one. Fretboard is mental. Really like this blue with all the white. I think I'd leave the tuners white. But yeah man, killer fiddle as usual. Congrats.

When the BRW's come in expect a visit from yours truly.

    Wow! Congrats!
IF, and only IF, I ever manage to afford a PS, it will be very closely spec'd like yours.

    Bravo!

Nice pics, Pete! I'd leave the tuners white, too. Contrasts nicely with the blue, and matches the pickup rings.
