    Pickup Pole-piece Material

    We hear a lot about AlNiCo 2, 5, 7, etc. vs. ceramic magnets on one side of a humbucking pickup. What about the other side?

    What difference would the metal composition of the pole-pieces make?

    What are they made of now?
