    NGD: Custom 22

My local GC had this on the wall when I went in to buy strings. Fell in love with it immediately and had to have it. They told me it was a custom color, is that right? It changes color when you move it in the light from blue to green. Also, what kind of pickups would be in this? My only experience with PRS is the SE I bought a few weeks ago. I think that one isn't going to get played much. Also, this one has some tarnishing on the tailpiece. Any way to fix that other than getting a new one?

Cool! Congrats! Try "Blue Magic Liquid Metal Polish" on your tailpiece. You can get it at your local hardware store.

I saw that one the used site. I was really interested. Glad you picked it up. That green is gnarly. Enjoy.

Nice score! Post a pic of the serial number, that will help identify the pickups (if they're standard).

Otherwise, pull the pickups and see what they say on the back of them!

Yeah, it's like bicycle paint. It's sparkly iridescence.

Since I posted that, I found the hang tag. It was sandwiched in the warranty card and I didn't see it. Looks like a Vintage in the neck and an HFS in the bridge. Are those considered to be decent pickups? They sound pretty good.

If they sound good to you, then they're good!

FYI - VB/HFS have been re-introduced this year as an option on Customs, so they're still considered current pickups (except the new ones have "squabbins"/square cornered bobbins)

I'll try and take some pics tomorrow when there's more light. This finish is just gorgeous. I've been trying to take pics tonight to get the sparkle effect but too hard with indoor lighting.
