Thanks guys! I never paid much attention to the Akesson model either, until there was one on the wall at my local shop. They're like SE 245's on steroids - ebony board, adjustable bridge with locking studs. Sounded great stock, but the 57/08's put it over the top, best sounding guitar I've ever owned!
-I'm no expert, but it seems to work and I haven't electrocuted myself yet. Which is pretty much the standard I live by.

Here's my '09 SE Custom 24 in Black Cherry. It's an older flat top model. (pardon the bad picture quality, it's a phone camera)

Pre-gig (before i changed out the neck pickup)

Both pickups are D Activators This guitar has ruined me, even the bling Gibsons and Fenders in my nearby store couldn't move me though lately i've been looking for a nice strat as my backup guitar...

They should make a USA version, I'd bet they'd sell loads. Or maybe they should try making USA versions for c. 1,000.

Thanks Mike. It now has a 57/08 in the neck & 59/09 in the bridge. Both with mixed hardware. Looks great & sounds even better! I think the pic above is showing it with a set of #6's. I tried about 5 or 6 sets in her. The current set sounds perfect to me!
