    PRS Ambassador Story

So, yesterday I had a cookout and one of the guys I invited over brought his trusty Stratocaster (G&L Legacy to be specific) and we got to talking about PRS guitars among other things. From him I got the ol’ “yea I tried one once but I didn’t bond with it” bit. So I said to him that I have had a couple of PRS guitars in the past that I wasn’t 100% thrilled about, but also that not all PRS guitars are the same and all of the ones I have now are fantastic!

That is where he agreed to try one of my PRS guitars. Since he had a Strat, naturally I brought out my PRS Studio model for him to play and had him try the top 2 (out of 5) settings on the selector switch. That got his attention. He wound up trying all four of my PRS guitars and before he left, he was saying “Wow, those guitars are really good. I won’t ever say anything bad about PRS guitars again”.

Do you have any stories where you put on your PRS Ambassador hat and promoted the brand to someone? Let’s hear them.

My session players and friends know I'm passionate about PRS, and I do have them try my guitars if they show the slightest interest.

I always get comments about how good the guitars sound and play, and a few have wound up buying one or more PRSes. I think choosing an instrument is a process that really comes from the player, his/her familiarity with what the guitars can do, and their needs, etc.

If a player is open-minded, just handing them a guitar to try out usually impresses, and basically, they sell themselves. At least, they sell themselves to me!
