Very Cool Video - 30STM, Dita Von Teese, Plus

So this new Thirty Seconds to Mars single is doing well, and the video has been released.

My son engineered the record and also mixed the audio for the video, so I'm really excited for him. And Dita Von Teese is in it, so that's not too unpleasant! Plus the picture is very, very cool.

Enjoy on You Tube. Here's the link:

I dig the video. Dita is smoldering, as usual. The production for 30 STM's sound has never sounded better.

I haven't connected with this song like I have with all three of the previous three albums but clearly Jared feels it - which I respect a great deal.

Wow - that's more "Motion Picture" than "Music Video". Visually stunning.... and the sounds not bad

Never saw something that made me want to be a piece of bubble gum before!

I'm a huge 30 Seconds to Mars fan but I am not really into the new direction they are going for - its more electronica and less rock band. Production is killer though, Les!

And yes, I too, love Dita <3

Thanks on Jamie's behalf, all! I love the production values of this picture, it's just a thing of beauty.

Well, you're right, Jared is clearly feeling it.

From what I've been told, the guys in the band wanted to do some experimenting, work in some changes to their sound, etc. I like the electronica influence, but then again I tend to like it when bands don't rest on their laurels and when they try different things.

By the way, Jamie did get to meet Dita.

Jamie's a man of few words, but I know he had a great time working on the album and video; he really likes the guys in the band, etc. They worked really hard on this record, and gosh it sounds good!

That's where I'm at too. Production is great on here. At least he's still a little weird on the video end of things.
Congrats to Jamie - he did a great job!

    Thanks, guys!

I have only heard the one track on the new record, so I can't say if the rest of it is more in the electronica direction, or more rock. Probably both is what I'd guess.

I've watched the video a few times now. Really interesting.

But it could stand more Dita.

New video (lyric video, not final video for the album release) of a second new song called "Conquistador."

This one's more traditional rockin' 30 STM style, lotsa guitar.

Turns out my son is in the "Up In The Air" video and I didn't even recognize him, he's doing a kick about 3:26 in, only onscreen for a second or so. He was just in Europe with Jared who was doing radio interviews, and the two of them got chased "Hard Day's Night" style through Milan. Anyway, he's going back with the band in a few weeks.

Here's a picture on Instagram taken at one of the radio stations where young women have a "We want Jamie" sign! I'm sure most were there for Jared, but someone knew who Jamie is! Flaunt it while ya got it, I say!

In the video, getting chased by fans through Milan, ladies holding up signs declaring they want you...Jamie is living the dream.
