I was shocked to get a call from GC Ron telling me about Bill's passing. At last year's Experience I came down with a really bad respiratory illness. Bill took me to CVS for meds and volunteered to leave the Experience, come back to the Hilton Garden Inn, pick me up, and take me back to the Experience when I started feeling better. He was a class act and his presence on this forum, at the Experience, and at Hilton Garden Inn late-night sessions will be missed for years to come. RIP, my friend.
Aw...Shucks. One hell of nice guy. We are diminished with his passing.
Very sad. Condolences to his friends and family.
You're never too old for tater tots.
I never met Bill, but it is obvious that he affected the lives of many and in a good way. R.I.P. Bill.
Gork what your need to gork.
Very sad indeed. I met him at last year's experience and found him to be a great guy. R.I.P. Bill
Wow. Very sad news to hear. I met Bill at Experience for the 1st time last year. Great guy. He has given me advice several times on the forums and always was honest and helpful. A true loss. My condolences to his friends and family. You will be missed Wilerty, RIP.
He will be missed...
Bill and I traded fun jabs many times over the years... Met him at the first experience and had many great conversations...
Class act, and great human... I, for one, am very thankful that Bill was able to really enjoy his passion for the instrument in these later years of his...
It gave me a lot of inspiration that I will carry well into my future...

I've been off the net for a week and just got back to see this.
I'd talked with Bill a few times in passing over the years, and then got to know him better this year when he gave me a lift to dinner at the seafood house. I can't quite believe he's just gone! Here's Bill enjoying(?) his Maryland crab that night:
