    That used to be my old trick when I was on the road. I could break a string & be back in action in a minute.

    One more floyd trick- feed string through tuner first so when you unwind to reuse string it cant come off tuning peg. AND if you use addarios you know what color ball to grab quickly.

    Fyi. I am very heavy handed. I always break strings at saddle. The only thing to fix is me.
