P22 Artist Pack vs P22 Reg and Used Singlecut Trem

I think I just need to stop going in to music stores until I order this guitar!!! lol

I'd like to order a P22 Artist Pack with a Maple Neck and Board in Blue Fade... however, for about the same price I could get a regular P22 Trem and a used Singlecut Trem. Ever since I got my Custom 24 last month I've been in love with the PRS Tremolo System... even though I had it on 2 other guitars before hand... and the idea of getting 2 other Paul Reed Smiths with that bridge on it is exciting.

So the question I have is this:
is it worth paying extra for the Artist Top, Special Finish, Gold Hardware, Maple Neck, Maple Board, and Artist Case? or would it be better to get the Regular P22 Trem AND a Singlecut Trem? (it's not the satin version... I never liked the satin finishes)

I know that in the end I get to make the choice and I should choose what's best for me... but that would bring my US PRS total to 8... quantity isn't as important as quality here!! If in your experience you've found that the Artist Package is better than having 2 US PRS' than that will help in my decision.

p.s. I haven't played the Singlecut yet... because I know if I do I will just cave and buy it!! also if I saw a Santana Model I would instantly cave and buy that lol

"Worth it" Man only you can decide that... I find to a certain extent guitars "pick me". I'll see or hear one and something will click! I have one that's doing that to me now and I'm fighting it for some reason.
If I thought I was going to live this long I'd have taken better care of myself!

For purely selfish reasons, buy the non-artist P22 Trem and the SC Trem. That way, we get to see two NGDs!

Seriously, though. Decide how you think you'll feel pulling either P22 out of the case in a couple months, after the honeymoon is over. For me, the fanciness is neat, it's never been the big draw for me. It has even led me to leaving the guitar in the case more than others.

Good luck, and the bottom line is that neither is going to be a "bad" decision!

I dunno... I tend to go to my Artist Custom 22 and 10 top Custom 24 more than my other 4... but then again I still play all of my PRS'... I'm conflicted!!! hahaha it'll be a tough decision... but yeah... 2 NGDs sounds good!! I just have to space them apart... you can't properly enjoy a New Guitar if you have a second new one just sitting there lol

I feel that way in general when I have more than a couple of PRS. I get paralysis by analysis, and want to play them all. Which can be counterproductive!
If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

Right after my first session with my Paul's Guitar, I searched the web and ordered my 408MT straight away!

Two is always better than one, totally agreed

I find the sweet spot is 6 weeks... then you've had a nice helping of inspiration... then it's acceptable to get another one... I play all of mine, but I always have a few that are my "Main" guitars! All I can say is Paul makes the best guitars in the world!

I'd need to see pictures of the other two, but I'd likely go that route.
