FINALLY. A little more progress for the food sacrifices I'm making!
Back on track:
I'm annoyed with myself. I'm going to start eating better and getting some amount of exercise every day since I'm off work for 9 days. I'm at 230. That's only 6 lb lighter than the heaviest I've ever been. Hopefully I'll build a routine, once I start a habit - I'm pretty good sticking to it.
You're doing great Jamie, specifically what are your doing to lose the weight?
Worked in DC for two weeks, had no fast food or snacks, ate box lunch sandwiches (wheat and turkey), and gained like five pounds. I was so excited and felt like I was losing only to discover that I was gaining. Back to the drawing-board.

I started working out with my PowerBlocks about three months ago, cut down on bread, pasta and dairy ... have a protein shake for breakfast, definitely getting stronger and more muscular and have lost 20lbs which is pretty decent. Still have a little way to go. The thing I notice is that if you do resistance training along with diet, your weight doesn't tell the whole story. Things start to "rearrange" themselves in a good way. I very seldom weigh myself, I go mostly by how my clothes are fitting and generally how I look and feel. Losing weight and getting in better overall shape and health takes awhile. Takes patience and consistency which isn't always easy but at the end of the day is worth it. I'm using the notion of wanting to be in really good shape one more time before I croak as a weird, tangential motivation tool.

I know I have not posted in here for a while......I am not out but hitting road blocks.....in Aruba this week and am not dieting, hope I don't slip to where I started .......or worse........
