    RIP James Gandolfini

James Gandolfini died today. I thought he was an amazing actor, and even though he was best known for "The Sopranos", there was much more to him than that. My personal favorite movie of his is "A Civil Action" with John Travolta and Robert Duvall, where he played a simple, honorable, hard-working family man who isn't quite as dumb as some big shot lawyers think he is. He practically stole the show in that one, as he often did in the movies he was in. May he RIP.

That sucks...my favorite non-Sopranos role was from The Mexican with Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. Too young, too soon.

Really bummed about this, Gandolfini was a terrific actor. Tony Soprano is one of the greatest characters in modern history.

    Great man, and 51!!!
If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

Very sad news. Not sure what's more shocking: The fact that he was only 51 when he died, or the fact that he was only 37 when the Sopranos premiered. He always looked a lot older than he was.

    RIP
