I have a set of GFS pickups in my Hollowbody II, and I love them. The Classic Alnico II set. I previously had a set of 57/08s in the same guitar and the GFS pickups sound almost as good. Slightly thinner, less output, but very similar tonal quality, and wax potted.

Cheap pickups, yes, but I'm a fan.

And I'm sendin' mine to you for electronics! I know I get paid in magaritas, how 'bout you?

    Okay then...

After some additional sanding of the additional poly/clear I used for the glitter-top (which leaves a texture) I'm starting to feel like it's gettin' smooth enough to sand out and polish, I'll hopefully just have to wait a few weeks before I get to shine this up. Here's how the headstock sticker looks...

It's one of those faux "MOP/Abalone" thingys.... If I were a real man I would've cut out a ME Eagle logo out of some dried chick'n bones... maybe next time.

I got my inspiration for this look from a guitar that Doc had that once belonged to Howard Leese, and an amazing white-backed guitar Markie has. I couldn't afford either of those if I sold my car, so I'm super psyched at how good this trash heap is comin' along!

For the price of shipping you could buy two more cases.

Turning out great. I'd be down to see a Sergio / CR collaboration. I'd even chip in on drinks to support it.

I started doing a light sand a few days ago since the weather here kinda blows. It's been real cool out and the humidity has dropped considerably, so this has sped up my process in two ways: It's way too cold out for the pool so I'm stuck lookin' at the guitar (which makes me want to mess with it), and it's drying pretty fast (which makes me want to mess with it). I think in the future I'll have to get two projects going at the same time so I can stagger them and distract me from one so the other can dry.

I didn't use the vibrating sander (thank god) so I did it all by hand.. slowly... and then woke up yesterday and went to go buy some polishing compound so I could get to polishing..by hand... slowly. After a kick-ass night of recording additional vocalists for my album (bangin') until five am, I woke up and bought this:

    Which leads us to these:

I killed myself for a few hours yesterday polishing this bastard by hand, so I'm feelin' kinda stupid I didn't just drop a whopping $19.97 on this orbital buffer sooner. I know I gotta let this sit and cure for a few more weeks which is why I haven't started buying too many parts for this yet, I'm hoping that will slow me down for a minute... But I did just open a bottle of Clicquot... and ebay never closes.

    Be careful!

Rotary polishers are addictive. I know a guy who liked his so much, he started polishing 747s just for a good time.

The PTC is hiring a new tech and sommelier, perhaps you would be interested?
