I haven't heard of this yet!
now thats some big news!!!
I DO NOT need anymore PRSi, but this blows me away. I may have to try one...I hope it's just one.
Seriously, I don't know how they can produce a set-neck, US- built guitar for that. BIG kudos for making an affordable American guitar.

"The NEW Maryland-Made S2 Series
Starting at $1,179 – From PRS Guitars"
Starla in white please! Love me some Bigsby!!
Chris Reynolds...Nashvegas TN
CR Guitar Demos
More guitars than I can afford!
#1 fan of Doug "DA MAN" Sewell!!
Darnit. I wants a Starla... and a Mira and a Custom 24.
Location: Beautiful Cape Town, South Africa
PRS Singlecut Hollowbody II Trampas Green / PRS SE 30 1x12
Mike Mustok Baritone Brown Burst to come later.
That's perfect. I've been looking for a good candidate for a Floyd Rose and the S2 Custom 24 nails it. I'm sold.
So will the regular "Core" line Miras and Starlas still be offered?
My Website | My Custom Built Guitar Cabinet
Guitars: '12 SE Santana - '12 SE Cu 24 - '12 SE Tremonti Custom - '13 SE Zach Myers - '13 408 MT - '14 SE Kingfisher - Z03 Fernandes - '12 Gibson SG '61 Reissue -
Amps: Carvin V3M - Blackstar ID 60,30,15 - Yamaha THR 10X - Roland Microcube - Pignose
Bass Amps: Hartke A70 - Roland Microcube Bass RX
A lot cheaper than the normal USA guitars but a fair bit more than the SE range and I'm unclear exactly how they're different for the extra money.
PRS SE Custom 24 in purple quilt with Bare Knuckle Holydiver and Emerald
PRS SE Custom 24 25th Anniversary in Vintage Yellow with Bare Knuckle Crawlers
Blackstar HT-60 Soloist
Carl Martin Quattro
Mark Tremonti Wah
Plus I think the S2 Custom 24 will have a solid flame maple top instead of the flame veneer over plain maple that are on the SEs.
Can't wait to try these out!
Much respect to Paul and the gang for these. I personally had been feeling a bit alienated from the brand because I'm at a stage in my life where I appreciate the Maryland craftsmanship, but spending $2-3k for a guitar is out of the question. I'm pleased to see them giving some attention to the budgetary "middle class".
A 22 fret, 25" scale Mira is a particularly tantalizing offering, but the Starla sounds killer in the demos!
S2 custom 24 in Gray Black + Metal pickup would be a badass metal guitar!

Musicman JP6 full option in Mystic Dream, Gibson Explorer with EMG 81-85 in Black
