Anyone here make custom truss rod covers?

Was considering getting one done at some point. Looking at doing a fairly simple Pi symbol design. If anyone here does them or you know someone that does good work, post a link to a website or photos/contact info.

    Thanks!

Yes, I actually have one of his. My only issue with it is that there's a good size gap between the end of the TRC and the nut which bugs me a little.

yeah, that would bug the crap out of me also.
I have one and it was an excellent fit.
I went with him since he is located in Canada which makes shipping slightly easier, although with something like a TRC, it likely doesn't make any difference.

Another +1 for Bill Nichols, he does great work and his timeframes have always been accurate (I have my third custom PRS TRC on order with him currently, should be done pretty soon actually!) not to mention his prices are pretty fair for custom work.

I do them but not inlays. I use waterslide decal paper. Just print the design and apply to the trc then lacquer it. Job done.
I am not a luthier but i am in my own workshop.

There is a guy in Canada which custom makes mine for around $30. I have the eagle on all my guitars.

The copyright infringement aside, this isn't very well done. The edges of the cover aren't even and the inlay is sloppy.

Do you by any chance have an SE? The SE TRC are bigger than USA models. The guy you bought the TRC from makes all of mine and the fit like a glove. You need to specify if it is for an SE or USA model.

Here is a picture of me only SE and had him custom make me a TRC...

Sorry you feel that way Shawn. Looks actually pretty good. Love it... Have the same on all my 6 PRSs which Paul signed (didn't say a word) and PTC worked on 2 of my guitars.

From a copyright perspective, I'm not in it to make money on these covers, I had it custom made upon my request for my personal satisfaction. Not any different from a Storm Trooper/ Clone Trooper or Playboy Bunny TRC...

    Here is the SE cover...
