In 1980 (?) there was a movie being released that looked good, and I was waiting for it to get to the theaters. The big night came, and I saw what was to become one of my favorite movies ever. It was "The Blues Brothers", and man, did it have some stars in it. Aretha! Ray Charles! I got to hear Duck Dunn SPEAK. (For some reason, I was surprised that he sounded as Southern as I did myself.)

In one of the scenes with Murf and The Magic Tones (Steve Cropper!), they were playing this song. It stuck in my head, and I spent the next few weeks trying to find out what the title was and who had recorded it. Called the radio stations in town, even went to the libraries to search. Nothing. Finally, on one of my hunting trips to a used record store, I stumbled over an old album that had the song on it.

Back then, I didn't know "Quando, Quando, Quando" from "Three Blind Mice", but I do now. Of all of the versions out there, I like this one the best. I love my Englebert Humperdinck; it takes a man to say that my friends!

I was reminded of this song tonight, and I wanted to share it here. If you have someone who matters to you, please make a special effort to let them know it. We all get busy and get caught up in the day to day things, but don't let that become a habit. Tell someone that you care about them. Tonight, tomorrow, whenever... Please.

A lazy Sunday morning... This morning I took out the trash, changed my neighbor's catbox, and took a shower. Nothing to compare with the way it was in the old days for Les Paul and Mary Ford.

Years ago when I got my first DVD player, it was at Best Buy and you got two free movies with the purchase. I chose "The Blues Brothers" and "Spinal Tap".

    I'm nothing if not predictable.

P.S. - Speaking of Tap, I didn't know until a few years ago that there was a second Spinal Tap movie. I've never seen it; have you? Has anybody here on the board? Maybe I need to look on YouTube for it.

I've seen The Return Of Spinal Tap which isn't worth the time. It may or may not be any worse or better than Spinal Tap 2 which the internet tells me is something altogether different, lol!

Way to go! I am a huge Gary Moore fan. You must be a great player if you're learning that.

Here is a video of Gary and B.B. King live. I would almost give a body part to have a DVD of this show. I've hunted a copy for years. The full show is on YouTube now, and I never get tired of watching it. If it ever gets taken down for some reason I'll be crying...

"T-o-O" Part 2. I don't know why, but this song has been on my mind for days now. I'm just going with it...
